How to mow down your lawn care services competitors
No matter where you live in America, it’s getting to be that time of year again. Yeah, the grass is green and growing and lawn care services are hustling and bustling. I’m already seeing them everywhere here in Colorado, and I can only imagine how much competition you might be facing if you’re in that business. So…I’ve got a simple solution you can “steal” from me to mow down the competition and get all the customers you can handle. How do I know? Well, that’s exactly what my client told me when he ran this simple ad in the Denver newspaper.
Can you see what makes this ad work so well? It’s not about a bunch of features. And it’s not even talking about chemicals, or a lack of chemicals, or how many years of experience the owner has. Mr. Green told me he had to stop the ad after running it only two weeks because he had enough work to last the whole season. How could such a tiny ad do that?
It’s not just a bunch of bullet points about the lawn care services.
When you wanna get more clients and customers, focus on them. Not you. Notice how the first little paragraph is about a nostalgic feeling of going barefoot in the grass? Then, the next line adds to the feeling and inserts a green word picture. And, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. After stirring up those feelings, the next section acknowledges all the work that goes into keeping your yard green and healthy. And it gently points out how getting someone else, who just happens to be affordable, to do all that work for you can get you the great results and let you do the other things you do.
One final point that drives home the service aspect is how the guy in charge is the guy who’s gonna be there for you. Bam!
Feel free to use this ad as a template to run your own. When you start to beat out the other lawn care services, feel free to leave a little something in my tip jar. 🙂 Or send me a comment and let me know. It’ll make my day.
P.S. I build stuff, too.
